چکیده

We derive explicit Lorentz-invariant solution of the Einstein and null geodesic equations for data processing of the time delay and ranging experiments in gravitational field of moving gravitating bodies of the solar system the Sun and major planets. We discuss generalrelativistic interpretation of these experiments and the limitations imposed by motion of the massive bodies on measurement of the parameters γPPN , βPPN and δPPN of the parameterized post-Newtonian formalism.

Parameterized Post-Newtonian Theory of Reference Frames, Multipolar Expansions and Equations of Motion in the N-body Problem

Post-Newtonian relativistic theory of astronomical reference frames based on Einstein’s general theory of relativity was adopted by General Assembly of the International Astronomical Union in 2000. This theory is extended in the present paper by taking into account all relativistic effects caused by the presumable existence of a scalar field and parameterized by two parameters, β and γ, of the ...

New ways in testing post-Newtonian gravity in the Solar System scenario from planetary motion analysis

Abstract. In this chapter we first calculate the post–Newtonian gravito-electric secular rate of the mean anomaly of a test particle freely orbiting a spherically symmetric central mass. Then, we propose a novel approach to suitably combine the presently available planetary ranging data to Mercury, Venus and Mars in order to determine, simultaneously and independently of each other, the Sun’s q...

Orbital Motions and the Conservation-Law/Preferred-Frame 3 Parameter

We analytically calculate some orbital effects induced by the Lorentz-invariance/ momentum-conservation parameterized post-Newtonian (PPN) parameter α3 in a gravitationally bound binary system made of a primary orbited by a test particle. We neither restrict ourselves to any particular orbital configuration nor to specific orientations of the primary’s spin axis ψ̂. We use our results to put pre...

Spin and energy evolution equations for a wide class of extended bodies

Abstract. We give a surface integral derivation of the leading-order evolution equations for the spin and energy of a relativistic body interacting with other bodies in the post-Newtonian expansion scheme. The bodies can be arbitrarily shaped and can be strongly self-gravitating. The effects of all mass and current multipoles are taken into account. As part of the computation one of the 2PN pot...
